After Venice, and a road trip around Switzerland, we went to Paris with an early morning flight from Zurich. We (read I) chose to stay at the hotel Roissy Première Classe, which is anything but premiere or with any classe. I can’t say enough bad things about it.

We chose to spend the first day queuing to go up the Eiffel Tower.

But once up, the pain is quickly forgotten and one can look down upon the people queuing below.
There was a also queue to go down but only the determined reach here, so that was no big deal. The views from the top were obviously spectacular, the champagne obviously expensive.
Champs de Mars. Wtf is this black building doing here?

Of course, we loved it. We Indians, we love gold.
Next, we headed to Montmartre and the Sacré-Cœur. Pictures are not allowed inside and hence, this bunny didn’t take any. However, there were plenty of people even using their flashguns. How naughty.

The Sacré-Cœur. This was apparently “off season”.
There were plenty of immigrants here selling little Eiffel towers with and without lights and who spoke many languages, like paanch ka ek euro (five for one euro in Hindi). Incroyable.

The more talented were doing other shows such as this guy who has now become a local celebrity. He even has a website.
Fun fact, one has to climb sixty steps to get out of this metro station (Abbesses) for Montmartre.
It says, “Keep courage”, all along the stairs. Thanks else I would have lost it.
By the time you are out, you end up looking like this guy.
For dinner, we had falafels in St. Michel which were not spectacular at all though highly recommended. Later, a Paris local and friend took Swiss bunny and me to a beer bar called Falstaff, which offers more than 130 kinds of beers. I say that’s just way too many to choose from. So, I had a cocktail instead. I will give it only 3 carrots.
In the meanwhile, mummy bunny and papa bunny had made friends with their Uber driver. I still do not understand this guy- he offered to show them all around Paris for FREE!! Can you believe it?!?
So this is what we did the next day. He brought over his car and showed us all around Paris from Notre Dame to Moulin Rouge, by day and by night for a full 12 hours!
Paris by day was pretty of course.
View from pont Alexander III ( a bridge with many golden statues).
There was a nice flea market on the river banks.
Inside the Notre Dame, there was a service going on where a beautiful French man was singing in his beautiful French voice. I would give him four carrots if he’d take any.
Angels and tourists look over Napoleon’s tomb.
Napoleon’s view from his tomb.
Paris by night was even prettier:
Trocadero offers one of the best views of the Eiffel Tower. Who wouldn’t want one those little colored Eiffels after seeing this view?:p
The Red windmill in all its glory. Nope, didn’t go in.
We also sat in the big bright Paris-eye ferris wheel but it was totally not worth it. In the end, papa bunny gave the taxi driver 220 euros but that’s nothing for a day long Taxi in Paris! Here are the contact details of the guy. I give him five carrots!
In the end, I have to talk about food because Paris is a food paradise (obviously no where even close to Indore, duh). There are some great places to eat near the Notre Dame such as Cafe Petit Pont.
Some Crème brûlée and Tarte Tatin, and a sparkler makes all bunnies happy.
And oh, on the Champs Elysees, the eclairs at Paul’s are just lip-smacking-carrot good.
Overall, ze Europeans (except Parisiennes), they don’t like Paris, but I, j’aime Paris. 4 carrots to you. Yum.

Bunny, I like it! La photo est bonne!!

Excellent article with beautiful pictures. What about the square behind the sacre coer where the artists display their work? Did one of them sketch a caricature of Bunny that you would like to share?
